Jim Butcher On Writer’s Block

Tapping Pencil

Only a forty second video, but some sound words from New York Times best selling author Jim Butcher (The Dresden Files) on the subject of writer’s block. I share his sentiment entirely and feel like shouting these words at everyone that complains about writer’s block. If you want to be a writer, you can’t wait around for perfect inspiration.

Sit down and get it done.

  1. Great advice from Jim Butcher, Gavin. He’s absolutely right that professional writers can’t afford to wallow in writer’s block. That gives any writer – at whatever stage of their career he/she is at – something to think about when they feel they’ve hit an immovable block.
