Alan Moore (V For Vendetta, Watchmen) gave some advice to unpublished authors at St James Library a few years back. His doles out practical advice for writers in his thick no-nonsense Northampton accent in the video below, including the increasingly common recommendation to self-publish rather than rely on the mess that is the publishing business.

‘Remember that being a published writer is no big thing.’
