After releasing my first three novels and tying off the Fielding Series, I decided to take some time away from blogging to focus on my next project. Well now I’m back, and the upside of the radio silence is I’ve planned out my next project: Frostbyte, a six book series of cyberpunk heist novels. Think Ocean’s Eleven meets Neuromancer; Mission Impossible meets Deus Ex. I won’t go into any details yet but I am planning to gradually release more info, so if that sounds like something you’d be interested in you can sign up to my mailing list to receive updates.
This is the biggest project I’ve ever attempted (I have 50,000 words in notes alone for the series!) and I’m more than a little excited to release out into the world and hear people’s thoughts. I don’t have a release date for anything yet, but I’m currently working on the third draft of the first book and it’s starting to come together nicely. I’ve also written a number of short stories and novellas that serve mostly as prequels which I’ll probably package together and give away for free when the time comes.
In other non-writing news, I’ve been living with a room fan pointed at my head the last few months, struggling to deal with the relentless summer heat waves. I’m sure I’m not alone there. I’m also currently reading The Expanse series and, bloody hell, I can’t recommend it enough to anyone with even the remotest interest in science fiction.
