Gavin Zanker is a science fiction author who spent way too long scrawling stories on scraps of paper before finally realising he wanted to be a writer.

Lover of books, consumer of scotch, and an introvert at heart, Gavin’s greatest interests are both science and fiction, so it was inevitable that he would one day end up trying to combine the two.

He lives in England where it rains a lot, but not nearly enough.

Hi Gavin. I’ve followed you for a while now, but seem to be permanently playing ‘catch up’ with reading people’s posts. I’m just about to post an ‘Award’ post and have nominated you for it. If you’re pushed for time, it’s one that can be done quickly. I’ve made more of it – as I always do – idiotically making myself work. You should get a pingback once I’ve posted. Best wishes, Millie

Congratulations on your award (funnily enough my girlfriend is also scared of those exact things – snakes and sharks). I appreciate the nomination – I’ll take a look as soon as I get a chance. I’m busy rewriting my train wreck of a draft at the moment. Don’t make too much extra work for yourself!

Thanks. Gavin. There’s never any rush to get awards posts written, is there? I’ve had to leave some of mine for weeks. As far as I know, there’s no expiry date.
